Waimea Canyon

The Grand Canyon of the Pacific did not disappoint. This is an amazing landscape. It really does remind one of the Grand Canyon except for the lush plant life that seems to grow right on the sides of the canyon. There are dozens of hidden waterfalls and nooks in the landscape that really let you spend a lot of time just looking.

The canyon is also a popular helicopter ride and we saw dozens of helicopters venturing up the canyons various fingers. The canyon is amazing from the ground and I can only imagine how impressive it must be to ride into the canyon. It is a very awe inspiring place. I don’t think anyone could stand at the edge and not be in wonder of the artistry of nature.
