Black and White Digital Workshop

Black and White Workshop

Hey everyone I am really excited about a workshop that I am teaching the first weekend in August (2-4) at the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle. Over the course of the three days will will spending time learning about how to use compositional elements other than color to create visually interesting photos while learning how to process and print black and white images in a digital lab. This workshop will cover digital methods for capturing and editing black and white photographs and explore options for photographers who wish to make fine art digital prints. Students will learn about the technical and creative choices other artists have faced in black and white photographic projects. Class time will include technical instruction in digital imaging specific to B&W photos, lab time for creating prints, as well as discussions and critiques. We will be looking at tools such as Camera RAW, Lightroom, Photoshop and Nik’s Silver Efex Pro and Perfect Black and White from onOne Software.  It would be great to see you in class.
