I have been a Dr Who fan for a very long time. At a trip to the Pacific Coast in Oregon a while back I was amazed at how much the sunset reminded me of the rip in time that the latest incarnation of the Doctor and his companion Amy Pond faced in series 5. Here is an article about a crack in space that also made science fiction a little more real.
