In the session, we explored a range of approaches from purely descriptive to poetic and conceptual and looked at ways to find language that reflects what you felt when you pressed the shutter. Because a title isn’t just a label; it’s an act of interpretation, one of the ways you begin to understand what a photograph means to you.
This is for every photographer who has ever skipped the title field, filed an image as “untitled” (which, of course, is still a title), or wondered whether titling their work is worth the effort.
