Introduction to Lightroom
This class is a free four-hour workshop covering the basics of Adobe Lightroom Classic. It doesn’t matter if you are just getting started in Lightroom or just want to sharpen your skills, this workshop has something for everyone.

We begin the day by discussing how to import your images so that you can use them in Lightroom. We will discuss best practices and tips to make your workflow easy as can be.
In this section we will focus on the basic tools and features of the sorting, organizing and storing your photographs.
Library Module Topics may include:
- Image management
- Organization tools and techniques
- Culling ideas and plans
- Searching for photographs
- Keywording tools and strategies
- Using Meta-data to make organizing easy
This part of the workshop focus on how to use the powerful editing tools in Lightroom to get the most out of your images.
Editing your images topics may include:
- Global editing
- Using brushes and gradients for local adjustments
- Basic color correction
- Basic sharpening
- Camera specific options
This part of the workshop discusses how to get your images out of Lightroom so that you can share them with others.
Sharing your images topics may include:
- Exporting your images
- Basic printing information
- Exporting for social media best practices
- Export presets for automation
In addition to running a studio and working as a full-time photographer and photo educator, I am also a core faculty member of the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle.
