Day One Organizing

Today is all about getting yourself setup and organized when working in Lightroom. Topics for the day include:

  • Image storage
  • Backup stratagies for local and cloud
  • Importing
  • Collection and folders
  • Library module
  • Using metadata effectively
  • Searching and finding images
  • Keywording
  • Colors, stars and other tags

Editing Images

Today is all about image editing. We will spend the day in the Develop module learning all about how to edit images in both color and black and white. Topic inlcude:

  • Global editing
  • Graidents tools
  • Local adjustement brush
  • Color correction
  • Transform and cropping
  • Profile management and creation
  • Presets
  • Working in black and white
  • Virtual copies
  • Tone curves

Printing and sharing

Day three of the workshop is all about how to get images out of Lightroom. Topics include:

  • Exporting
  • Exporting presets
  • Publishing servies
  • Printing
  • Color management
  • File management and organization for export/printing
  • Print collections
  • We will be printing several of your images today.

Putting it all together

Day four of the workshop is a practice and implement day. We will spend the day reviewing nad working on your personal workflow and needs in Lightroom. Rather than have you leave the workshop with your head spinning with information, we will use day four to let you practice and get help on your workflow and images. This full-day of hands-on time with the program and one-on-one help should hopefully help you really feel like you are on solid ground when you leave. You will also have access to the printers during the day to make prints as well.
