Master the fundamental skills of photography. Learn to use a film camera, develop and print in the darkroom, and become skilled in the use of depth of field, shutter speed and exposure. Students should be prepared to spend 4-6 hours a week on assignments for this course, including use of the Photo Center darkroom for processing and printing. Rental fees (not included in tuition) are charged for use of the Photo Center darkroom to complete assignments outside of class; a list of rental rates for students is available on the Hours/Rates page. No class on November 12 – Veterans Day. (3 credits; fulfills Certificate Program requirement)
